Visa, the first week in Japan and other things to plan

My preparations are well underway:

After receiving my "Certificate of Elegibility" from the Japanese Ministry of Justice, I took it with me to the Japanese Embassy and applied for a visa yesterday. So if everything goes OK, I'll get my visa somewhen next week (according to the visa officer at the consulate anyways...).

As I hope to arrive in Japan on September 1. but will only be able to move into my flat on September 8. I'll be staying the first week at the Kodokan Judo institute.

Luckily enough, I don't have to book the Kodokan room on my own. ICN Travel is taking care of it for me... Thanks!

Furthermore I'm still waiting for the people from the International Center of Keio University to get back to me regarding my (soon to be) flat, they said, they'll inform me before the end of July, so hopefully I'll hear from them next week.

Now I only have to sort out travel and health insurance... oh and maybe I should book a flight...

Introduction

Hi there!

I'll be leaving for Tokyo based Keio University by the end of August. Here I'll document my trip with as many updates as possible, lets hope I'll find the time and nerve to really write on a regular basis!

Well this is it for now, I guess next time I'll be writing about the woes and joys of preparing the trip.
